Our proud history

It all began in 1986 when Multiple Sclerosis Limited (MSL) identified the need for high-quality care services for people living with this chronic disease.

By 1999, MSL recognised the time had come to establish Transitions Caregiver Solutions as a separate legal entity. A savvy and experienced Board was appointed and we were firmly on the path to growth.

This growth was boosted by a series of acquisitions within the care sector between 2001 and 2008. By then, we had earned a reputation as an experienced and sizeable private care service provider.

In 2010, the purchase and integration of Nationwide Health & Aged Care Services represented a major milestone in our growth as specialist cleaning and laundry services bolstered our business portfolio.

At around the same time, TCS partnered with the US-based Healthcare at Home.  In 2013, TCS acquired the business. This nurse-led service has provided a safe, high-quality alternative to hospital care for people with cancer and chronic disease.

Today, we are proud to continue our work as a wholly-owned, not-for-profit subsidiary of MSL

Founder/CEO

Monica Stewart is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Transitions Caregiver Solutions (TCS), an organization dedicated to providing guidance and support to overwhelmed caregivers in an empathetic environment. With a strong educational background, including a BS in Economics and an MBA, Monica has extensive experience in banking, human resources, personal lines insurance, healthcare, and non-profit organizations.

As the CEO of TCS, Monica is devoted to helping caregivers access essential services and resources and addressing health disparities. Her passion for decreasing the digital divide and promoting health equity in the community is evident in her tireless commitment to positively impacting families.

In addition to her role at TCS, Monica is the Director of Operations for AMPED, where she has served since 2017. Having played a vital role in developing and implementing various educational and career programs, Monica’s work has positively influenced countless individuals and families, enabling them to pursue new careers, educational opportunities, and business growth.

Currently, a member of the 2023 Leadership Louisville Class, Monica continues to leverage her skills and experience to empower caregivers, support adult learners and their families, and contribute to a healthier, more equitable community.
